Terms & Conditions:
1. General Terms: This competition is organised with genuine intent. Participants must strictly adhere to the rules, conditions, directions, and regulations established by CITB management. Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions.
2. Right to Modify or Discontinue: CITB management reserves the absolute right to modify, discontinue, cancel, withdraw, or postpone the competition or alter any rules at any time without prior notice to participants or any other parties. CITB shall not be liable for any losses incurred by participants as a result of such changes.
3. Use of Images: While CITB will not use participants’ images or works for any commercial gain, it reserves the right to use these images for promotional purposes related to this competition or similar CITB activities without compensation to the participant.
4. Copyright: Copyright of the submitted works remains with the participant/photographer. By participating, participants grant CITB a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their images for promotion as per the terms outlined.
5. Liability for Damaged Files: CITB is not liable for any damage, alteration, or corruption to files submitted, whether in the course of transfer, download, or otherwise.
6. Submission Fees and Compliance: Participation fees are non-refundable for any activity organised by CITB online or offline. Participants must comply with all government regulations concerning participation fees or any other related compliance.
7. Financial and Legal Responsibility: CITB assumes no responsibility for any financial or legal liabilities arising from the theme or content of the image/photograph of the participants in this competition.
8. Submission Deadline: Submissions must be received before the stated deadline. Late submissions will not be considered under any circumstances.
9. Eligibility for Student Category: For participation in the ‘Student Category,’ entrants must be 20 years old or younger at the time of submission. Proof of age (e.g., school certificate, Aadhar card, or driving license) will be required from any participant awarded in this category. Failure to provide proof of eligibility will result in disqualification without compensation.
10. Conversion of Entry Categories: Participants may convert their entry from the Student Category to the General Category upon payment of a penalty of INR 5,000.
11. Jury Confidentiality: For impartiality, the identities of the Jury Members shall remain confidential. Participants are strictly prohibited from contacting CITB staff, management, or jury members to influence results. Any violation will lead to immediate disqualification without a refund.
12. Non-Refundable Fees: Once submitted, entry fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
13. Copyright and Disputes: Participants bear full responsibility for any copyright issues or other disputes associated with their submitted images.
14. Award Selection: The selection of award-winning entries is solely at the discretion of CITB management. CITB reserves the right to determine the number of awards per category, and in certain cases, no awards may be granted for specific categories.
15. Publication and Promotion: All award-winning entries may be included in CITB publications, including the CITB MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD BOOK and on the CITB website, at the sole discretion of CITB. No participant may contest CITB’s decision regarding publication.
16. Usage of Names and Images: By participating, participants consent to the use of their names, quotes and images on CITB’s website, print materials, and other promotional activities.
17. Image Security: CITB will take all reasonable steps to secure participants’ images; however, CITB shall not be held liable for unauthorised access, downloading, or theft of images from servers or online platforms.
18. Right to Amend: CITB reserves the right to terminate the contest, amend rules/ terms and conditions, or make any decisions concerning the competition at any time without notice or liability.
19. Acceptance of Terms: Submission of any work by a participant signifies acknowledgment and acceptance of all terms, conditions, and rules as stated on this website.
20. Indemnification: Participants agree to indemnify and hold CITB, its officers, agents, and employees harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in connection with their participation, submission, or any breach of these terms and conditions.
21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi for any dispute arising out of this competition.
By participating in competition or any activity organised by CITB, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all the above terms and conditions.
